About Lori D. Howard

Lori grew up in a small northeast Arkansas town, McCrory - population 1,791, and have lived in the Central Arkansas area since 1998. She graduated cum laude with a degree in psychology from Arkansas State University, worked in the non-profit world for over 20 years, spending 15 years at a children's hospital as a director of facilities planning and design.  Such a job required Lori to listen to the concerns of everyone involved, including children, parents, medical providers, and administration. 

While working full-time at the hospital, Lori pursued law school in the evenings and graduated from UALR's William H. Bowen School of Law with honors and five top papers (highest class grades).  Lori started her legal career working for a small firm for two years, then moving on to open her own law firm in 2016.  Lori's firm focuses on offering a personal and compassionate approach to all areas of law for her clients, practicing law not as a job, but as a passion - and dedicates that passion to helping her clients through some of the most difficult times of their lives.

She is the President of the Saline County Bar Association, a member of the Arkansas Bar Association serving on several statewide committees to promote justice and education in the law, and is serving a three-year term on the Arkansas Supreme Court's Civil Practice Committee. 

Lori is frequently appointed as attorney ad litem representing the best interests of children from infants to age 18 and incompetent and disabled adults.  Lori's clients have included children with and without disabilities, adults with both intellectual and medical disabilities.  Being an attorney ad litem is truly a blessing, as representing the interests of those who cannot represent themselves is a most-rewarding part of her practice. 

In her personal life, Lori lives with her husband, a Navy veteran, and dogs Moxie Loo and Mollie Sue, both immensely spoiled.  She is also mom to a blended family of four grown children and six grandchildren.  Lori enjoys travel, needlepoint, and outdoor activities.
